This page provides an estimate of your property tax bill if you live in the City of Champaign. While every effort has been made to ensure the validity of this estimate, it does not replace or supersede the actual information on your property tax bill. Your tax bill may be different if special assessments or tax exemptions apply.
This page should not be used for properties outside the City of Champaign city limits, since those properties are subject to varying tax rates from other taxing bodies.
Taxes levied in 2011 are paid in 2012 and are listed below. Taxes for 2012 which will be payable in 2013 will not be known until May 2013.

About homestead exemptions
Homestead exemptions reduce the total taxable value of your property if you qualify. Different homestead exemptions exist. The “General Homestead Exemption” and “Senior Citizens Homestead Exemption” are simple enough that the property tax calculator on this page can take them into account for you. Other exemptions may vary considerably in dollar amount or require special forms to qualify.
All exemptions are explained at the Champaign County web site.
